Not at the time of admission. BUT latter you can get scholarship in gik.

Yes, sure you can join gik and afterwards apply for scholarships which are offered by various companies and banks.

Your status in your account at gik website will change, but often it takes many days, so dont worry about that.
If u have submiettd fee , then be tension free,in the last week your hostels and room numbers and roommate's name will be uploaded on gik site.

UNfortunately, No. But keep checking gik website , in case there is a second merit list uploaded by the administration.

There are many scholarships mention in gik prospectus of them only few are given at the time of admission rest are given in second semester and are need based plus a good gpa.

GIK organizes a JOB FAIR in which many companies come. These companies often recruit students before there BS is complete. Some companies ask GIK administration to send students with such and such achievements but generally a lot of them will take your test and afterwards will call you for an interview.

because its an institute, not a university.. Universities should have wide range of faculties.GIKI offers programs that are not offered by many universities.
you wont find nanotech and materials engg anywhere else.In UET, many sub disciplines have been differentiated from the main course...
and then made into a seperate engineering...
Like CIVIL engg and Transportation engg. CIVIL is broader and incorporates general transportation....
You will have to apply on the basis of your sat score.

Q. 'Can I change my faculty' ?
Ans: Yes, You can.
Condititon 1: If you want to change it before coming GIK Institute, you have to talk to GIK admission office but make sure that your merit number is good enough to get the desired faculty.
Condition 2 : If your merit number is not high then the only way to change the faculty is to be in top 3 GPA holders of your Faculty for 1st year and get it changed.
You can go to a faculty of lower merit in your first year at gik as well.
