GENERAL ENTRY TEST TIPS, NUST ENTRY TEST FAQS

"Guide lines to attempt an entry test!"

GENERAL ENTRY TEST TIPS, NUST ENTRY TEST FAQS

“How to attempt an entry test” and “what type of questions will

be asked in an entry test” is a frequently asked question by new

applicants? Last year when I was going through the entry test sessions

same was the question which I had in my mind too.

Well, the answer to this question is quite simple and there is a

simple technique for this.

Some of the advices which I would like to give are:

- The questions will be mostly conceptual by conceptual I mean

there will be nothing out of the scope of your books. Every

question in your exam will be in one or the other way related to

your course books. They will include all the things which you have

already studied but they will be asked in a new way.

- You in my opinion should concern more to your course books

rather than different guide books provided by different

academies. These guide books are merely the tactics of the

academies to earn money. So don’t waste time in wrong direction

just get full control over your course books.

- Try to attempt the MCQS if chemistry, physics and maths from

different sources like www.chemcity.com , www.mathcity.com

and www.phycity.com etc. This practice will provide you with a

broad vision and you will get the idea that how different kind of

MCQS can be made from your books.

-I request both the FSc and A-level student not to indulge in

any sort of inferiority complex. Usually I have noticed that Fsc

students think that they are weak in physics and A-level students

think that they are weak in maths. But believe me this is not the

reality whosoever wants to succeed he does. Just think you are

the best and have confidence in your own self.

- One more humble request believe in self study don’t rely on

teachers they are just only to guide you not to spoon feed you. So

make your concepts strong don’t move towards cramming but get

to the base of everything. In this way you will be able to attempt

all the questions by yourself easily.

-Please be fully fresh when you go for the entry test. Have a full

sleep of 8 hrs before the test. I have seen that most of the people

study the whole night before the entry test due to this reason

they are not mentally fresh in the exam and there ability to solve

the problem reduces because of the tiredness they have.

These were some of the advices which I wanted to give to all the new

applicants. I hope these will help you with your entry and IA you will

succeed.
